I had to make some mic cable a few months ago, here is a video I made during the process for any interested parties!

New Normandie Wilson/Who’s in the Studio?
I haven’t written in some time (things have been very busy here at CDL!) Sorry about that, but at last, here are a few updates:
• A BRAND NEW Normandie Wilson EP is out, it’s called Summers Are For Lovers. Normandie is a DIY indie-pop artist, and recorded all the instruments herself, but she did have me mix the first song on it, called “Just A Little Time.” For fans of 1960s pop/soul. Have a listen and buy it here:
• Other artists currently/recently in the studio: Hot TV, Starveya, Ever In Bloom, Pedro Lopez, and Sofa City Sweetheart!
• I finished mixing my Father’s new solo Latin jazz CD a while ago, and I just heard the reference copy that came back from mastering and it sounds BEAUTIFUL! I can’t wait to share this release, it is a sonic delight and I’m pretty proud of the mixing I did on that. More info on that when it is officially released.
Jorge Huaman: In Need Of In-Between
After many long nights of hard work at Casa de Lopez, Jorge Huaman’s new album, In Need Of In-Between, is finally available now! Jorge and I spent a good amount of time last year recording and producing his debut album, and you’ll definitely be able to hear all the hard work we put into it (make sure to catch all of the crazy guitars at the end of Track 12.) If you like Bends-era Radiohead, Jorge Drexler, or badass guitar skills, you will definitely dig it. In Need Of In-Between has a vast array of sounds and moods taking the songs from rock, to folk, to Latin all seamlessly on one album. Jorge Huaman is a very accomplished guitarist, and he definitely proves his worth on this debut record.
Listen to the album below, and pick it up if you like what you hear. Make sure not to miss Stowaway, Vacancy, Blind Proposal, or Con Sal, Limon,Y Chile. There’s even a sweet cover of the Santo and Johnny classic, “Sleep Walk.” Orale!
Trablue - EP
A new EP is out by Justin Trabue, a swell fellow from Kansas that recorded several acoustic guitar tracks here earlier this year. He took these tracks to his home town to finish them up and they ended up sounding really great! Technology continues to blow my mind…

The Screw From Hell!
During the upgrade, there was one screw that wouldn’t come out of the old rack…

It was dubbed… “The Screw From Hell!”
During The Studio Upgrade
Here’s a video I took during the studio upgrade earlier this year. We got some new gear!
WELCOME
To the new Casa de Lopez!
